Fifth International Vincentian Youth Videoconference Scheduled for Early September
On Friday, September 1, at 4:00 p.m. in Time Zone UTC-4, young Vincentians will participate in an online international Vincentian videoconference! Using the online program Zoom, participants will be able to see each other, share stories and talk about their activities with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This marks the fifth year of the annual videoconference which in the past has included groups from New Zealand, Ireland, France, Guatemala, Australia, the Philippines, the USA, Colombia, Brazil, Canada, Lebanon, Sierra Leone and other countries.
Prior videoconferences have included discussions about what types of activities SVdP members participate in locally and why being a member of the Society has been important to them. Prayer requests have been shared and occasionally there has even been a surprise musical number! The International Vincentian Youth Videoconference makes the international network of charity visible - increasing the sense of friendship, providing spiritual support and deepening commitment to generous service.
If you or your SVdP group would like to join this year’s videoconference please email Gayle at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to receive a copy of the instructions for participation.
