Literature: a member of the General Council launches a new book of spiritual readings

Brother Renato Lima de Oliveira, International Territorial Vice-president for South America (America 3), is launching, next Saturday (May 23rd), the book “Vincentian Chronicles # 4”. The event will take place on Nursery Frederic Ozanam in the city of Ceilandia, Federal District, Brazil.

The launching of the book is part of the celebrations of the opening of INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF VINCENTIAN COLLABORATION, proposed by the Congregation of the Mission for this year. All the value received with the sale of the book will revert to the expansion of the nursery, which is a charity special work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Brazil.

Brother Renato Lima is the author of three other books of spiritual readings. All such publications bring suggestions of spirituality articles for reflection and debate in the Conferences and Vincentian Councils.

Renato is a writer, teacher, journalist, master in Political Science and joined SSVP in 1986.

Renato’s next literary project is editing a book in Spanish, in 2016. The working title is “My Favorite Vincentian Chronicles”. The ultimate goal of the books of spiritual readings written by brother Renato Lima is to share the knowledge from the personal experience lived with the SSVP members and people in need.
