The President General visits seven African countries in 2018
From 22nd February to 14th March, the 16th President General, brother Renato Lima de Oliveira, will make God willing, official visits to seven African Superior Councils: Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and South Africa
The President will remain some days in each nation, and will be accompanied by other members of the General Council’s Board. He will visit Conferences, Councils and Vincentians works; he will take part in encounters and interviews; also, he will have meetings with leaders, young people and the clergy.
"It is the first time that a President General visits so many African countries all at once. I want to be very close to my dear Vincentian Brothers of Africa, and feel the reality of each country. I recognize the difficulties afflicting the African continent, and I value the Vincentian work carried out there. During our visit, we will be taking the General Council’s message of unity, charity and cooperation to all Vincentians in Africa ", stated our fellow member Renato Lima.
The General Council thanks the Superior Councils for their generous collaboration in the organisation of these visits. Let us pray that these visits pass in peace and are productive, according to the will of God and for the sake of the people assisted by the SSVP.
